There’s a good breakfast and a small children’s play area next to the restaurant. Unusually for London there’s also a private garden outside to burn off any energy not used up by sightseeing. Best family hotel in London? This one is a good candidate for sure.

The hotel has a whole configuration of rooms, which includes some amazing interconnecting rooms which are perfect for families of five or six. Hilton London Metropole

via https://www.hilton.com/

The Metropole is a very large family friendly hotel set on the bustling Edgeware Road, which is a really good area, rich with restaurants, and is an easy walk to Oxford Street, Hyde Park and Madame Tussauds. With the Edgware Road tube station just a couple of minutes away, it’s easy to take off to visit the rest of the city!

This hotel has both interconnecting rooms and great family rooms, all large, comfortable and well thought. Breakfast is a really good buffet, AND there is a separate children’s section with doughnuts and hot chocolate (adults are allowed, and if not, we are anyways). There are a number of other dining options through the day, and in the evening, the Josper Charcoal grill takes center stage. Tyburn Kitchen Bar offers cold craft ales and themed cocktails in a family friendly atmosphere. Find also the Fiamma Restaurant serving different kids menus, and there’s the option for children to make their own pizzas! Yeah, not a typically british activity, but it’s better than cricket.
Above all, this hotel has an indoor heated pool – a real treat for a London hotel in this price bracket, making it one of the best family friendly hotels London.

The Dilly

Since its opening in 1908 in fashionable Piccadilly (yep, it’s the Dilly in Piccadilly), the hotel has always been at the forefront of the London hotel scene. A very good choice when looking for kid-friendly hotels with a real London style, with family rooms as well as interconnecting rooms, which are really large for central London! You’ll have plenty of space to lay down and spread out after spending a day out sightseeing!

The restaurant is within a lovely glass space, very pretty, plus an atrium on the rooftop and some great menus through the day and a really nice breakfast at the start.
They boast one of London’s largest indoor swimming pools (heated), one major perk of this hotel, also perfect for kids to burn off all the excess energy after a day out in the city, so you can actually enjoy the plush beds and quality linens. Oh, and they host a Peter Rabbit themed Afternoon Tea which is also great fun!

The Guardsman Hotel

via https://www.guardsmanhotel.com/

This high tier hotel is fairly new, the structure is purpose built and situated in Westminster, just about five minutes away from Buckingham Palace. It’s packed with design detail and has that level of personal service to grant you a really (and we mean really) fantastic London stay with your kids.

Among its many, many brilliant features, one is that you can interconnect two, three or even four double bedrooms together, to accommodate big, BIG families. The rooms have everything you want, and then a little bit more. They pride themselves in giving “simple luxuries that are just a touch better than you’d expect” and ” being there exactly when you need them”. As attention to the customers goes, the staff will go out of their way to improve your experience. Are they paid more? Do they take a percentage on your satisfaction and cheerfulness? I don’t know, but they treat you like a royal, and it. feels. good. There are a number of little gifts for children at check-in, and that is unnecessary and very thoughtful, because kids are also on holiday, and they understand that.
