Traveling with your children can be a wonderful bonding experience, which is why we have come up with a list of family friendly activities in London packed with things you can do with your kids!
Let’s go!
Part one – FREE activities:
1. Marvel at unbelievable creations at the LEGO Store on Leicester Square!
2. Take your kids (and yourself, let’s not lie) to Hamleys’ many floors of toys!
3. Be pirates for the day on Captain Hook’s pirate ship at Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial playground.
4. Meet small (and not so small) cute animals at Vauxhall City Farm and farm animals at Mudchute Farm and Park
5. The Science Museum offers a variety of attractions and interactive experiences to love and
learn with, a personal favorite!
6. Camley Street Natural Park in King’s Cross is the best place to look for bugs and little ponds
7. Roam among the world’s oldest life-size dinosaur sculptures at Crystal Palace park!
Part two: not free activities
1. KidZania in Westfield London. It is an interactive indoor city made for kids aged 4 -14. From an airline pilot to a surgeon, firefighter to a radio DJ, kids can work, play, earn and learn whilst having fun in a range of role play activities.
2. See a four-and-a-half-billion-year-old meteorite in the Peter Harrison Planetarium at the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
3. Visit the locations from the Harry Potter films and books while exploring Harry Potter’s London (although this one might be more for the parents… sigh)
4. Discover what life was like onboard the legendary sailing ship, Cutty Sark!
5. Last, but definitely not least: the Crystal Maze! 75 minutes of frantic, frenetic, silly team fun that’s open to those everybody aged 9 and over.
There are so, so many things you and your kid can do together, London has so many parks, activities and immersive experiences that it will be difficult to choose!
